Jackson County Use Terms

These terms govern use of Jackson County Released Inmates. Accessing or using the site means accepting them. Anyone who does not agree should stop using the site.

This is a privately owned reference, not a government, sheriff, jail, court, or corrections service. Neither this site nor its advertising partners provide consumer reports or FCRA-covered credit, employment, insurance, or tenant-screening services. The site is not a private investigation firm or consumer reporting agency.

Nature of the Service

The site gathers routes to Jackson County and Missouri custody, release, court, and supervision resources. It has no government affiliation and stores no official record. It cannot confirm custody, release a person, file a request, change a record, or take action for a visitor.

Some pages also connect users with independent research tools. Those services have separate owners, prices, terms, and results.

Acceptable Use Rules

Visitors must use the site lawfully and without harming other people or the service.

  • Do not violate a law through use of the site.
  • Do not stalk, threaten, harass, or intimidate another person.
  • Do not use content for hiring, housing, lending, insurance, or another regulated eligibility decision.
  • Do not seek access to systems or accounts without authorization.
  • Do not use bots, scrapers, or automated extraction tools.
  • Do not interfere with site security, operation, or another visitor's access.

No Consumer Reports

Jackson County Released Inmates is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act. It does not offer background checks, credit reports, consumer reports, or screening services, and neither do its advertising partners through this site. Visitors agree not to use any information for an FCRA-covered purpose.

  • Hiring, firing, or other employment decisions
  • Tenant selection or housing decisions
  • Creditworthiness, lending, or insurance pricing
  • Licensing, permits, or government-benefit eligibility
  • Any other decision regulated by the FCRA

Outside Links and Providers

Links may lead to government release records, sheriff or corrections pages, courts, legal resources, or independent search services. A link is not an endorsement. This site is not responsible for an outside service's content, availability, security, prices, or data practices. Visitors should read the destination's terms and privacy policy.

Service Provided As Is

The site and its content are supplied “as is” and “as available.” No warranty is made that:

  • Content is complete, accurate, or current
  • The site will operate without interruption
  • Code will be free of errors, defects, or security flaws
  • A partner search will return every relevant record

Custody and public-record systems can change quickly. Nothing here is an official statement from Jackson County, MODOC, a court, or any other public body.

Limits of Liability

To the fullest extent Missouri law allows, the site and its owners, contributors, and partners are not liable for direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or other damages arising from access, inability to access, reliance on content, or use of an outside link.

Your Duty to Indemnify

A visitor agrees to defend, indemnify, and hold the site, its owners, and its partners harmless from claims, losses, and reasonable legal fees caused by that visitor's use of the site or violation of these terms.

Ownership of Site Materials

Unless otherwise stated, the original text, graphics, logo, layout, and code belong to Jackson County Released Inmates or its content partners. They may not be copied, distributed, modified, or republished without written permission, apart from uses the law permits.

Revisions to These Terms

These terms may be changed at any time. A revision takes effect when posted. Continued use after publication means acceptance of the revised terms.

Access May Be Revoked

Access may be limited, suspended, or ended at any time, with or without notice, including when use threatens the service or violates these terms.

Missouri Law Controls

Missouri law governs these terms, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute must be brought in a court with proper jurisdiction in Missouri.

Severability

If a court finds one part of these terms invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in force. The affected term will be adjusted only as much as necessary to make it enforceable.
